Tucson, AZ was definitly the farthest Evan had ever traveled for a race. He was toatally pumped for the trip and to race at a new circuit! Miles had just been out this way for a drive to Circuit of the Americas, so he was starting to feel like a pro at this journey.
It was extremely windy and hot in Tucson, with dirt devils galore, and even a fire in the hills that were a backdrop for the track. Evan made sure to stay hydrated and get out for every practice session he was given. He picked up the track pretty quickly, which had a few tricky spots. The KAYO MiniGP race was held under the lights, giving the racers a little reprieve from the heat. Evan didn’t get the best start, and slotted into 4th position, which is where he stayed for the duration of the race.
