It was an absolutely beautiful weekend at Sonoma, and while Miles always seems to struggled there a little, he had a great time riding with good friends. He was particularly excited to race with Gordon for the first time this weekend since he was going to be testing out a 450. In his first race of the day, Formula IV, Miles was able to hold off Gordon, but only by a margin of less than a second, finishing in 11th place. In the next race, 450 Superbike, Gordon got a great drive out of the carusel and snuck past Miles into turn 7. Aparently, Miles had been holding him up, beause after that he was able to stretch out a few seconds of a lead by the end of the race! After a sixth place finish in 450 Superbike, Miles capped off his weekend with a fourth place finish in 450 Superstock.
