It was hard to believe that it was the final race of the season already. Miles had hopefully fixed the overheating problems he had in the previous round and was ready for a fun weekend. He worked on getting back into the swing of things during practice, and everything seemed to be okay with the bike. Saturday night was a blast with all the Halloween activities and a visit from Miles’s long-time friend, Ted.
Miles was in the first race of the day, which was his 450 Production race. Miles got a decent start and ran substantially faster than he had in practice, but was still off the pace he wanted to be running. Just as things were getting interesting between Miles and a few other riders, the race was red flagged and called. Next up was 450 Superbike. Miles didn’t get a great start and got shuffled towards the back pretty quickly. Try as he might, Miles just wasn’t keeping pace today and couldn’t stay with the pack. Formula IV was his last race of the day (and season!) After about a lap and a half, Miles noticed the engine temps creeping up where he didn’t like them. That wasn’t confidence inspiring, but Miles was able to finish the race without it boiling over. Looks like he’s going to have some work to do in the off-season.
Thank you to all of our sponsors and all those who helped us along the way this season. See you next year!
