This was the first (of many!) Thunderhill rounds for 2014. Miles was excited to get back to the track he knows best, especially after having a few rough rounds at the beginning of the season. Miles was able to concentrate on his riding a little more since he knew the track well, which helped out during practice. He was starting to regain his confidence and was excited for race day!

In his first race, 650 Twins, Miles had a lonely ride, passing the checkered flag in 11th. In his second race, Formula 4, Miles had a great time duking it out with Leon Hill (#367), just edging him out for another 11th place. Leon was ready for a rematch in 650 Production, and he and Miles had a great race. After multiple back and forth passes, it all came down to the last turn. Miles got a good drive coming down the back straightaway and was able to get a wheel in front of Leon, and they played chicken on the brakes, both waiting until the last moment. Miles ran wide and Leon cut underneath him, but Miles still had a chance until he missed a shift, giving Leon the chance to get away. Miles was disappointed to be just off the podium in 4th, but had a great time during the race.
