It looked like it was going to be another wonderful weekend at Thunderhill. Unfortunately, Miles was getting over a pretty nasty cold, and Saturday practice was pretty rough. He got some rest that night, and come race day he was feeling much better.

Miles had a pretty bad start in his first race—a bad launch and a miss-shift put him back a bit. But once he caught up to some other riders, he had fun dicing and had a nice drag race to the line on the last lap, which he lost by only a bike length. Miles got another mediocre start in the second race, and once he settled into his position, he stayed there and rode a lonely race. Another miss-shift off the line at the start of his third race put Miles a few spots back. He was able to pick off a few riders throughout the race, making those spots up, and making some good passes in the process. He finished the weekend with a 7th in 650 Production, 11th in 650 Twins and 12th in Formula IV. He would like to thank his parents for coming out to support him, even though he knows how nervous it makes them!
